FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY, October 1, 2019–EdCo, the leading fundraising platform for K-12 schools, teams and groups, has launched its all-new platform. Schools, teams and groups across the US are setting up new fundraisers to fund the year’s activities. EdCo works with teachers, coaches, parents, mentors and students to help them fundraise more effectively, with less work and eliminating the initial out-of-pocket expense typical fundraisers require. EdCo users thrive because unlike other fundraising platforms, EdCo allows teams to raise together on a campaign, making the results 3x more successful than traditional school fundraisers.
EdCo launched in 2014 and as its following grew the platform had to grow as well. “The way people were using EdCo and what they were using it for changed and expanded. Users and donors were on their phones more, and campaigns were being created in new areas, not just the classroom,” informs Amy Zucchi-Justice, Head of Marketing at EdCo. To provide users with access to more funds, EdCo integrated tools like Double the Donation into the donation flow. Double the Donation automatically identifies corporate matching gift opportunities in only a few clicks. “Teams literally have the potential to double what they raise,” adds Zucchi-Justice.
EdCo supports K12 classrooms, teams and groups throughout the US. Through partnerships in STEM, sports, speech and debate, technology, music and dance we can provide services exclusively for their individual needs,” informs Nathan Spevack, Manager, Strategic Partnerships at EdCo.
Online fundraising has been growing year over year. According to Double the Donation, Overall giving grew 4.1% over the past year, the 6th consecutive year of growth and online giving grew by 12.1% over the past year.
Outside its platform, EdCo offers tools, white papers and other content to help teams create the best fundraisers they can. EdCo has also introduced a concierge program that offers assistance in setting up a fundraising page for teams that lack the resources internally. “Our goal is to make sure all of our teams are successful and that our platform allows them to set up campaigns in minutes. Our tagline is ‘better than a bake sale,’ so we have big shoes to fill,” informs Spevack.
